About Trinity

Who we are

A Lutheran congregation in Colby, Kansas, grounded in Scripture and gathered around Word and Sacrament since 1935.

Who Are We?

Gathered, then scattered in love

We gather each week as a Colby, Kansas church to learn more about God’s love for us in Christ Jesus and to receive His gifts. We believe the Word of God is without error, and living and active in our lives.

We scatter after gathering to bring the love of Jesus to all as we live out our Christian lives at home, in the community, and together in the Church.

We are a congregation of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, Kansas District, Circuit 015. You can learn more about our denomination’s beliefs directly from the LCMS at lcms.org/about/beliefs.

What We Believe

What it means to be a Lutheran church

Scripture First

We base our teaching on the Bible — the inspired, inerrant Word of God.

Grace Through Faith

We emphasize salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and His death on the cross.

Word & Sacrament

We embrace God’s Word, the sacraments, and prayer as the center of Christian worship.

Witness & Love

We engage in acts of Christian witness and love locally, domestically, and abroad.
